According to a study done by the Ontario Long-Term Care Association in 2018, 85% of long-term care residents need extensive help with daily activities and 90% have some form of cognitive impairment. Around 40% suffer from some form of mood disorder, including depression.

 

In this hilarious and poignant key-note talk, Nicholas recounts his experience as a Jerry Lewis Impersonator for the elderly.

Nicholas highlights the needs required by seniors in various living environments and draws comparisons between western and eastern treatment of elders.

Audiences are encouraged, by the end of this talk, to find ways to bring therapeutic entertainment, joy and laughter to those in need.
