MARKETING

Over the years I have spearheaded or been involved in numerous digital and traditional marketing campaigns to promote various creative endeavors, including feature films, fundraising campaigns, podcasts, and professional touring shows.

I am proficient in paid and targeted social media ad campaigns, building audience profiles, organic social media strategy, press releases, and media outreach (TV, radio, print). My work has contributed to enhanced web traffic, sold-out premiers and shows, and successful fundraising campaigns.

YouTube release of the final trailer

The social media campaign included daily posts for over 1 year on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Digital media was frequently repurposed for ever-green content on YouTube. Competitions, including draws and prizes, were implemented monthly to boost engagement.

The campaign worked in 3 stages:

STAGE 1: Boosting interest and excitement in the film in preparation for a premiere (1 year). Teaser posts, gradual release of more information, visuals, trailers, and clips.

STAGE 2: Heavily promoting the festival run of the film (1 year). Promoting ticket sales, screenings, social listening on viewer response, viewer engagement, maintaining interest through interviews, and repurposed behind-the-scenes material. Special focus on awards received and the mental health themes on the film (extra promotional campaigns during mental health week).

STAGE 3: Promoting the DVD and online release, boosting engagement and sales (1 year). Paid targeted ads on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Additional digital content created for social media, including new trailers and clips. Promotion of discounts and coupons for online sales. Stage 3 resulted in a sold-out DVD release of the film and attracted over 5000 additional followers.

PRESS

Developed a staggered media outreach strategy with traditional media sources (TV, radio, print) for the gradual promotion of a feature film. Fostered on-going relationships with media personalities, crafted press releases, coordinated media bookings, and brought the campaign to a successful completion. Worked with press on other events including product sales (DVD), and live events.
